THE FUTURE OF MAINE IS IN ITS WORKFORCE

Businesses today are looking for employees who have a broad understanding of the diverse, interconnected world beyond their immediate environment and who are able to communicate effectively with people of varying nationalities and cultural backgrounds. The Maine NAI fosters workforce development initiatives that build the global competence of our future workforce.

What we do

We invest in three major areas of the North Atlantic regional economy

Businesses today are looking for employees who have a broad understanding of the diverse, interconnected world beyond their immediate environment and who are able to communicate effectively with people of varying nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

Over the past few years with the help of Eimskip in Portland, the New England Ocean Cluster, and the Maine North Atlantic Development Office, Maine has developed new and expanded trade, educational, and cultural relationships with several countries in the North Atlantic Region
